Chehregan Rural District (Persian: دهستان چهرگان)[5] is in Tasuj District[a] of Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[7] Its capital is the village of Chehregan.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 3,509 in 1,037 households.[8] There were 3,171 inhabitants in 1,053 households at the following census of 2011.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,981 in 1,088 households. The most populous of its seven villages was Chehregan, with 1,297 people.[4]
