Carlos José Carvajal Gallardo is a Chilean physical education teacher turned politician.
He was elected to the Chamber of Deputies of Chile representing the 2nd District in the Tarapacá Region, achieving the first majority in the district in the 2025 parliamentary elections.[1][2]
Background
Carvajal has a professional background in physical‐education teaching in the Tarapacá Region. According to public declarations, his profession is “Pedagogía en Educación Física”.[3]
Political career
In the 2025 parliamentary election, Carvajal ran as an independent aligned with the “Unidad por Chile” pact and secured 25,360 votes (13.89%) in the 2nd District, earning the first majority in that district.[4] He has declared that his legislative agenda will focus on regional development, sports, culture and the Tarapacá identity.[5]
