Breakfast in the Garden (Italian: Colazione in giardino) is an 1884 genre painting by the Italian artist Giuseppe De Nittis.[1] A noted Impressionist, he produced this painting En plein air. It was one of the final works he produced before his death the same year and was displayed at the Salon of 1884 in Paris. Today it is in the collection of the Pinacoteca Giuseppe de Nittis in the artist's native Barletta.[2]
