Boyd Were

Boyd Were (born 1998) is the current member of parliament of Kasipul constituency.[1] He is the son of the late Charles Ong'ondo Were. Boyd was sworn in on December 2, 2025 after winning Kasipul's consituency by election which fell vacant after the assassination of his father in April 30, 2025.[2][3] Boyd who ran on an ODM ticket defeated his closest rival, Philip Aroko in a by election that was contested by 9 candidates.[4] He becomes one of the youngest members ever elected to the Kenyan Parliament.
