Bashir Ahmad (born 12 July 2005) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in October 2025 against Bangladesh. In domestic cricket, he plays for the Boost Defenders, Pamir Legends and Maiwand Champions.[1][2]

Domestic career

Ahmad made his List A debut for Junior Champion in the Green Afghanistan One Day Cup on 30 April 2023.[3] He made his Twenty20 debut for Boost Region on 6 May 2024 in the 2024 Qosh Tepa National T20 Cup.[4] He made his first-class for Pamir Legends on 16 September 2024 in the 2024–25 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament.[5]

International career

In September 2025, he was named in Afghanistan's T20I and ODI squad for their series against Bangladesh in the UAE.[6][7] He made his T20I debut on 5 October 2025 in the same series.[8][9] He made his ODI debut on 8 October against Bangladesh.[10][11] In October 2025, he was named in Test and T20I squad for their series against Zimbabwe.[12][13]
