Avlağı (Armenian: Avlavi)[1][a] is a village in the Kovancılar District of Elazığ Province in Turkey.[3] Its population is 238 (2021).[4]
History
Avlavi (today called Avlağı) was historically inhabited by Armenians.[1] It was located in the kaza (district) of Palu in the sanjak of Maden in the Diyarbekir vilayet in c. 1900.[1] It was populated by 130 Armenians in 19 homes in 1914.[5] The village was attacked by çetes in the first half of June 1915 amidst the Armenian genocide.[6]
