Ambush in Darial Gorge was a conflict between the Kabardian principality and the Ingush societies at the end of the 15th century.[2]
Ambush
According to the oral tradition written down in the beginning of the 16th century, Cherbizh went to Darial Gorge to ambush the Kabardian army having learned that the Kabardians were going to rob Tbilisi. Cherbizh managed to defeat the Kabardian army in the area of the Darial Gorge, for which he was awarded land by the Georgian king.[3]
