Alfred Nelson Poyneer (July 29, 1831 โ August 28, 1897)[1] was an American politician and farmer.
Born in Connecticut, Poyneer settled in Montour, Iowa and owned a farm. He served in the Iowa State Senate from 1882 to 1890 and later served as Lieutenant Governor of Iowa from 1890 to 1892. He died in Montour, Iowa in 1897.[2]
