Alexandrin Guțu (born 21 December 2002) is a Moldovan Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a three-time U23 World Champion and won the gold medal at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires in the 71 kg category.[1] Guțu has also won multiple medals at the U23 European Championships and was a bronze medalist at both the World and European junior and cadet championships.

Career

Guțu started competing internationally as a cadet, becoming the 2018 World cadet champion and 2019 European cadet champion. He won gold at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires in the Greco-Roman 71 kg event. Guțu claimed back-to-back U23 World titles in 2023 and 2024, as well as gold at the 2023 U23 European Championships in Bucharest. He is also a multiple medalist at the U23 European level, including bronze medals in 2024 (Baku) and 2025 (Tirana).[2]

He placed 13th at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships and finished fifth at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships and 2024 European Wrestling Championships. Guțu won a bronze medal at the 2020 Individual World Cup.[3]
