Shahidul Karim (born 1 October 1971)[2] is a Bangladeshi diplomat and the incumbent Bangladesh ambassador to Denmark since December 2022.[3][4][5] Prior to this position he served as the ambassador to Bhutan.[6]

Early life

Karim earned his bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.[5]

Career

Karim enlisted into the 18th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service foreign affairs cadre.[5] He served as the Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.[5]

From 2019 to 2022, Karim was the ambassador of Bangladesh to Bhutan.[6] He was the former Chief of Protocol officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.[7]

In July 2022, Karim was appointed the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark.[5]

Personal life

Karim is married to Syeda Mahrufa Akter.[2]
