A. H. M. Hamidur Rahman Azad (Bengali: এ. এইচ. এম. হামিদুর রহমান আজাদ) is a politician of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a former member of parliament representing Cox's Bazar-2. He currently serves as the party's assistant secretary general. [1][2]
Career
Azad is the secretary of the Dhaka city unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.[3] Azad was elected to parliament in 2008 from Cox's Bazar-2 as a candidate of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.[4] He served on the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Water Resources.[5]
