The 70th Locarno Film Festival was held from 2 to 12 August 2017 in Locarno, Switzerland.[1] The festival's opening film was Tomorrow and Thereafter (Demain et tous les autres jours) directed by Noémie Lvovsky.[2] The closing film was Gotthard – One Life, One Soul directed by Kevin Merz.[3]
The Golden Leopard, the festival's top prize, was awarded to the documentary film Mrs. Fang directed by Wang Bing.[4]
