The 2029 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship is the 22nd staging of the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). It will be held in Philippines in August to September 2029, and the third edition under the two-year cycles in odd-numbered years with an expanded format featuring 32 teams.

Philippines will become the fourth country in Asia to host the World Championship, following Japan, China and Thailand. Philippines will also become the second country from Southeast Asia to host the competition after Thailand. The competition was also the first world senior women's championship in Olympic team sports to be hosted in Philippines.

Host selection

On 26 September 2025, Philippines was awarded the hosting rights at the FIVB meeting in Manila.[1][2] Philippines had originally bid for the 2025 edition before being awarded the 2025 men's competition instead.[3][4]

Qualification

The host country Philippines qualified for the competition as well as the defending champions. The top three teams from each of the 2028 Continental Championships secured qualification. The final 15 places belonged to top 15 teams as per FIVB World Ranking who had not yet qualified.[5]
