The 2029 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship is the 23rd staging of the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). It will be held in Qatar in September 2029, and the third edition under the two-year cycles in odd-numbered years with an expanded format featuring 32 teams.

It will be the first FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship to be held in the Arab world, with Qatar also becoming the third Asian country to host the tournament after Japan and Philippines.

Host selection

On 26 September 2025, Qatar was awarded the hosting rights at the FIVB meeting in Manila, being the first country from the Middle East to organise this event.[1][2]

Qualification

The host country Qatar qualified for the competition as well as the defending champions. The top three teams from each of the 2028 Continental Championships secured qualification. The final 15 places belonged to top 15 teams as per FIVB World Ranking who had not yet qualified.[3]
