Sports in 2026 describes the year's events in world sport. The main sporting events scheduled to be held in 2026 are the 2026 Winter Olympics, the 2026 Winter Paralympics, both staged in Milano Cortina, the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the 2026 World Baseball Classic in the United States, Puerto Rico and Japan. In rugby league, the Men’s, Women’s and the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cups will all be held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. In rugby union, there will be a new international rugby union tournament, which will be known as the World Rugby Nations Championship. There are also two ICC T20 Cricket World Cups in 2026, the men’s version will be staged in India and Sri Lanka while the women’s version will be staged in England and Wales.
