  • 16 – Metropolitan John of Korça is elected Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania and Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church by the Church's 7-member Holy Synod.[6]
  • 29 – John is officially enthroned as Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania and Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church in a ceremony in the Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral in Tirana, Albania.[7]
