The 2025 Suhandinata Cup was the team event of the 2025 BWF World Junior Championships. It was held in Guwahati, Assam, India from 6 and 11 October 2025.[1] Indonesia were the defending champions but were defeated by China.[2]
Format
The Badminton World Federation will experiment with a new system by introducing a new 3 x 45 points system, replacing the earlier 110-point relay-score system:[3]
Seeds
The original draw for the tournament was held on 8 August 2025. It was based on aggregated points from the best players in the BWF World Junior Ranking. However, after the withdrawal of the Cook Islands, a redraw was held on 16 September 2025. The teams were divided into three pots, with Thailand and the home team India as the two top seeds, along with another 6 teams (seeded 3–8) and 8 teams (seeded 9–16) in the second group. Twenty other teams (seeded 17–36) were seeded into third groups.[4]
