The 2025 Rudersdal Municipal election was held on November 18, 2025, to elect the 23 members to sit in the regional council for the Rudersdal Municipal council, in the period of 2026 to 2029.[1] Anne Sofie Orth from the Conservatives, would win the mayoral position. [2]
Background
Following the 2021 election, Ann Sofie Orth from Conservatives became mayor for her first term, becoming the first mayor not from Venstre in the municipality.[3] She would to run for a second term,[4]
Electoral system
For elections to Danish municipalities, a number varying from 9 to 31 are chosen to be elected to the municipal council. The seats are then allocated using the D'Hondt method and a closed list proportional representation. Rudersdal Municipality had 23 seats in 2025.
