The 2025 Michigan State Spartans football team represented Michigan State University as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 2025 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans played their home games at Spartan Stadium located in East Lansing, Michigan, and were led by second-year head coach Jonathan Smith. After beating Youngstown State, the Spartans had their first back to back 3–0 starts since the 2006 and 2007 seasons. However, the team suffered an 8-game losing streak before winning their final game of the season. Smith was fired after the season.
