Rankings from STATS Poll

The 2025 Illinois State Redbirds football team represent Illinois State University as a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) during the 2025 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They are led by 17th-year head coach Brock Spack. The Redbirds played their home games at Hancock Stadium in Normal, Illinois. The Redbirds defeated Southeastern Louisiana, #1 ranked North Dakota State, UC Davis and Villanova on the road to become the first FCS team to win four consecutive road playoff games.[1] The victory over Villanova guaranteed Illinois State would appear in their first FCS National Championship Game since 2014; they will face Montana State on January 5.
