The 2025–26 Big Bash League season or BBL|15 is the twenty-first season of professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket in Australia and the fifteenth under the Big Bash League (BBL) model. The tournament is being played from 14 December 2025, with the final scheduled to held on 25 January 2026. The Hobart Hurricanes are the defending champions.[1]

Background

Sky Sports UK has extended its partnership with the Big Bash League for a further four years till 2029. Fox Cricket and Seven Network retains the official broadcasting rights for the 2025–26 BBL – Big Bash League.[2]

  • Starting from the 2024–25 season, teams were allowed to sign up to two marquee supplementary players who would not count as part of their regular 18-player squad.[11] These players must be signed to the Australia national cricket team.[12]
