The 2025–26 Lao League 1 will be the 37th season of the Lao League 1, the top Laos professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1988. The season will begin in August 2025 and will conclude on 2026. [1][2] [3]
As in previous seasons, all 8 teams will play a round robin, and this season, there are 2 more teams from League 2 Province.
Ezra is the defending champion and the club's first-time champion.

Foreign players
Lao League 1 allows a maximum of 10 foreign players.
For the upcoming season, clubs will have three options for registering foreign players:
Route 1: AFC Only
- Maximum number of foreign players: 10 foreign players
- All players must be nationals of an AFC member association
- Foreign players on the field per game: 7 players
- Bank statements of ≥ 3 billion kip (~$139,000) are required.
- No bank statement is required if the club holds an AFC Club Licensing this season.
Route 2: Intercontinental
- Maximum number of foreign players: 6
- 4 non-AFC players + 1 AFC player + 1 ASEAN player
- Foreign players on the field per game: 5 players
- Bank statements are not required.
Route 3: ASEAN Only
- Maximum number of ASEAN players: 6 players
- All 6 players may be fielded in the match.
- Bank statements are not required.
