The 2006 Offaly Senior Hurling Championship was the 109th staging of the Offaly Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Offaly County Board in 1896.[1]
Birr entered the championship as the defending champions.[2]
The final, a replay, was played on 8 October 2006 at St Brendan's Park in Birr, between Birr and Coolderry, in what was their fifth meeting in the final overall and a third consecutive meeting in the final.[3] Birr won the match by 2–09 to 1–11 to claim their 20th championship title overall and a second title in succession.[4][5]
