The 2004 Clemson Tigers football team represented Clemson University as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2004 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by sixth-year head coach Tommy Bowden, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 6–5 with a mark of 4–4 in conference play, tying for sixth place in the ACC. Clemson won its 600th game in program history on November 20, against South Carolina, in a contest notable for a brawl between the two teams. Due to the brawl, the Tigers declined a bowl game bid because of the unsportsmanlike nature of the fight.[1] The team played home games at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.
As of 2024, this was the last season in which the Tigers did not participate in a bowl game.
