The 1982 Wexford Senior Hurling Championship was the 72nd completed staging of the Wexford Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Wexford County Board in 1889.[1]
Faythe Harriers entered the championship as the defending champions.[2]
The final was played on 24 October 1982 at Wexford Park, between Buffers Alley and Oulart–the Ballagh, in what was their second meeting in the final overall.[3] Buffers Alley won the match by 1–09 to 1–06 to claim their fifth championship title overall and a first title in six years.[4]
