The 1890 Victorian football season was the 21st senior season of Australian rules football in the colony of Victoria.

South Melbourne won the Victorian Football Association (VFA) premiership for the fifth time and the third year in a row, after finishing the season with 16 wins from its 19 matches.[2]

The 1890 VJFA season was the eighth season of the Victorian Junior Football Association (VJFA).[a] North Park won the premiership for the fifth time, as part of a sequence of five premierships won by the club between 1886 and 1890.[5][6]
