Ō (Silesian)

Ō (minuscule: ō) is a letter in the Silesian alphabet. It is formed from the letter o and a macron.

In the Silesian alphabet, more specifically per the Ślabikŏrzowy szrajbōnek,[1] ō is used to represent the mid back rounded vowel ([ɔ̝]).[2] Historically, this sound has also been represented using the letter ů in Steuer's alphabet, as well as the letters ó and o using Polish approximations.[3]
