Čížkov is a municipality and village in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 100 inhabitants.

Čížkov lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) west of Pelhřimov, 36 km (22 mi) west of Jihlava, and 88 km (55 mi) south-east of Prague.

History

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1379. Čížkov belonged to the archbishop's estate of Červená Řečice, which was donated by him to the parish in Nová Cerekva and later it was annexed to Božejov and Horní Cerekva. It became an independent muncipality in 1850, then incorparated into Nová Cerkeva in 1976, then became an independent muncipality again in 1991. [2]

Since the inaguration on the 20th of October 2022 [6], Mayor Petr Hrdlička[7], has became the mayor of Čížkov from the 20th of October 2022 to the 22nd of December 2025, which is a total of 3 years. Ivana Zemanová is the deputy mayor of Čížkov, while Pavel Buchta, Zdeněk Opic, Antonín Richtr, Miroslav Stupka and Radana Vaňková are the representatives of the municipal council of Čížkov.

Environment

One of the most important things in the Čížkov municipal council is the environment. All regulations and decrees in Čížkov since 2010 are related to the environment. [9] The regulations include a fee for waste, a fee for local dogs, and a fee for public spaces.

Economy

According to the 2026 budget[10], 3 million koruna has been earned from personal income tax, corporate income tax, value added tax revenue, land withdrawal fee, dog fee, waste fee, adminstrative fee, gambling tax, real estate tax, non-internet game fee, non-investment transfers, sale income, rental income and interest income. The budget plans to use 11 million koruna to make Čížkov better.
