Çakıllı (Kurdish: Bînarîn; Syriac: Bīnārīn)[2] is a village in the Beşiri District of Batman Province in Turkey.[3] The village had a population of 172 in 2021.[1]

The hamlet of Yağlıca is attached to the village.[3]

History

Bīnārīn (today called Çakıllı) was historically inhabited by Syriac Orthodox Christians.[2] In the Syriac Orthodox patriarchal register of dues of 1870, it was recorded that the village had 4 households, who paid 10 dues, and did not have a church or a priest.[2]
