Angustopelta ist eine Gattung mariner Krabben mit fünf Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Schelf und den Kontinentalhang in Tiefen zwischen 80 und 866 m im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik.[2]
Merkmale
Der Carapax wird bis zu 10 mm lang und ist in Frontalansicht leicht konvex. Die Augenstiele sind unbeweglich und etwa zylindrisch. Der Merus des Scherenbeins trägt auf der Unterseite Zähne oder eine Reihe kleiner Höcker. Das erste Gonopodium nimmt kontinuierlich an Dicke ab. Das zweite Gonopodium ist halb so lang wie das erste oder noch kürzer.[2]
