Patrick Gray (Theologe)

Patrick Gray (* 1970) ist ein US-amerikanischer Neutestamentler und Professor für Religionswissenschaft am Rhodes College.

Gray absolvierte seine akademische Ausbildung in der Hauptstadt des Bundesstaats Georgia, in Atlanta. So bestritt er ein Bachelorstudium (B.A.) an der Oglethorpe University und erlangte einen Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) an der Emory University. An letzterer promovierte (Ph.D.) er ebenfalls.^[1] Seine Dissertation trägt den Titel Godly fear. The epistle to the Hebrews and Greco-Roman critiques of superstition.

Er lehrte an der Emory University, an der Oglethorpe University und in Japan. Gegenwärtig ist er Professor für Religious Studies am Rhodes College.^[1]

Seine Forschung beschäftigt sich mit dem frühen Christentum in der griechisch-römischen Welt und mit der Geschichte biblischer Exegese.^[1]
