Colin Jones (Historiker)

Colin David Hugh Jones (geb. 12. Dezember 1947^[1]) ist ein britischer Historiker und emeritierter Professor für Kulturgeschichte an der Queen Mary University of London.^[2] 2008 wurde er Mitglied der British Academy (FBA).^[3] Von 2008 bis 2012 amtierte er als Präsident der Royal Historical Society.^[4]

Jones, der an der University of Oxford studiert hatte, kam 2006 an die Queen Mary University. Vorher war er Professor an der University of Warwick und hatte Gastprofessoren und Forschungsaufenthalte an der University of Richmond und der University of Chicago sowie am Collège de France.
